No News Is Good News

It has been over 24 hours since Kate's surgery and the only news we have to report is that she had a good night and good day. That is exactly what we were hoping for! Cheryl and Mike were able to see Kate a couple of times today and were happy that she was looking better than they expected. The doctor is really watching the coronary arteries where there was a lot of patching but right now things look good. Keep your fingers crossed and the good thoughts flowing because things can change quickly. Keep checking back because we will continue to send updates even if there isn't much to say!

Here are a few more pre-surgery pictures! We didn't want to leave Dad out!

Daddy's Little Girl
This is what Kate was hooked up with pre-surgery. It must be more complicated now!

Dear Cheryl, Mike and family,
I'm everything seemed to go well. Glad you have family around you and everyones thoughts and prayers. Your Mom said you were able to use the Ronald McDonald house to rest and be close, that is great to hear. Thanks for the updates, will keep in touch with this website and updates from you Mom. Take care, love to all and my thoughts and prayers are with you and Baby Katie.
Love Aunty Betty, Uncle Dick and family.

Cheryl and Mike,
Baby Kate is beautiful. I love her dark hair and rosy cheeks. I think about you so often and pray that all goes well. I'm glad she did so well in surgery. She must be a tough little cookie!

Hi cheryl, Mike and family

We are so glad that this first 24 hours is over and things are still going well. I know your parents are worried and praying for you just like we are. We look forward to seeing the whole family when we can visit back in the states later. For now stay strong and may the lord bless you all.

Love Uncle Rob, Cathy and RJ

Brooklyn said she saw your family at school yesterday and that, "Mrs. Gates looks beautiful as always!" I am glad to see you have used some of the resources available to you up there at the "Pink Castle". Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. For now, we will continue to pray for your family as you endure the NICU and Kate heals.
I have posted on Cameron's site requesting extra prayers for Kate also...I hope you do not mind...We are on CarePages.com His page is CameronRoy.

May you continue to be blessed with great days and wonderful progress.
